Specifically designed for the export market enabling easy container transport in flat pack form . This type of cage is suitable for sheltered inland or estuarine locations The design principle is flexible , enabling the use of various different types of buoyancy unit including some which can be sourced locally thus reducing transport costs . The cage is modular( walkways common to two cages ) using galvanised steel frames joined with flexible rubber couplers . The frame is fitted with hooks around the edge to fit the cage nets and top nets .

Sizes
Any cage size can be made up to a maximum of 10m x 10m. The cage can be made as a single unit or in modular form in groups of up to 80 units. The more units in the module, the more cost effective they become!
Supply
This cage is simply assembled on site by unskilled labour using basic hand tools . Kames will supply assembly guidelines.
Material Specification
Mild steel welded framework hot dip galvanised to BS 729 to a thickness of 85 microns. Decking is expanded steel mesh .Section couplers are EPDM/SBR moulded elastomer blocks jointed with high tensile high yield hot dip spun galvanised nuts and bolts.
Buoyancy units
Generally we use 200 or 250 litre polyethylene drums with high quality sealed bungs and heavy wall thickness. The bungs will be replaced and re-fitted using Sikaflex type mastic to ensure it is leak proof.
