For sites with strong currents.A weighted circular ring suspended from the cage collar. The principal function of these rings is to weight the bottom of the net and also retain the net shape by applying force on the horizontal plane to the base panel of the net. The weight of the ring is dependent on the cage type, the net type and the strength of the current. By helping to maintain the net shape in strong current conditions, the cubic enclosed volume is maintained and the
fish will not suffer the net abrasion induced trauma which could otherwise occur. Kames has pioneered and developed the design of the ring and has introduced it to many markets such as Chile, where it has now become a standard piece of equipment, particularly on the large 100 and 120 metre cages. Built on site by Kames engineers, the rings can be made to fit any size of circular cages with the weights dependent on site conditions. |
Material Specification
180 , 200 or 225 mm SDR 11 PE80 pipe dependent on cage model with internal steel weights . The weight of a ring will depend on the maximum current speed , net type and depth.
